Jensen was born with a genetic disorder known as 16p11.2 – p12.2 duplication syndrome. His condition means that he has multiple complex needs, faces daily challenges and needs 1:1 care but he is a happy and very determined little boy!
Last year, 8-year-old Jensen gave himself the challenge of walking around Burrator Reservoir (which is roughly four miles) without his wheelchair to raise funds and awareness of genetic disorders. He absolutely smashed his challenge and raised over £1,700 for Jeans for Genes, despite it being a very wet and windy day!
We think Jensen is an inspiration and if his determination has motivated you to help change the lives of individuals and families in the UK with a life-altering genetic disorder – why not hold a Jeans for Genes day at your school or workplace? Sign up for your free fundraising pack.
