- 1 in 10 families in the UK are affected by a genetic condition – so you will be helping support probably someone you know!
- It’s a great way to bring a team or a company together for a philanthropic and societal good cause.
- It highlights and promotes your company’s stance on EDI – bringing inclusion, understanding and support into the workplace.
- It shows you are a socially conscious business that does your bit!
- It’s so easy to organise. All you have to do is ask people to come to work in their jeans and make a donation of £2.
- It’s fun! This year’s theme is ‘#HowDoYouWearYours?’ where we want to know (and see) what your favourite partner is to your jeans. Do you wear yours with a classic white tee, bad tie, killer heels, a top hat, a favourite sports jersey or bunny ears? Wear your favourite jean accompaniment on the day with pride!
- You can also add to the fun by playing our new sweepstake on the day for maximum fundraising and fun! Choose which perfect partner to your jeans, write your name on it, wear that item on the day and be in the chance to win £20!
- Share your activities and achievements on our social media (all our social links are on the footer of our website) – getting shout outs, kudos and kindness points from all our supporters and donors.
- Join forces with us throughout the year – email us at hello@jeansforgenes.org and make us your charity of the year. Together we can work on an annual calendar of support, bespoke to your firm. Want to be a corporate sponsor of ‘Jeans for Genes’ and get your partnership logo on our items for 2023? Let’s talk!
- Time to get serious. All this activity and laughter adds up to real change. Although individually genetic conditions are rare, together they are the biggest killer of children 14 and under. Your efforts give services, support and – most importantly – hope across the whole of the UK so thank you.
